Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
